Our Year 6 children are settling in well and have adopted a mature attitude to this their final year. The children are now starting their roles as young leaders and young readers and we have newly appointed School councillors. Congratulations!. Just a reminder that homework goes out on Fridays and is to be returned on Wednesdays. Swimming is still on Thursdays and can we make sure children have PE kits in school on Mondays.
P.S- it was lovely to meet parents at the year 6 meeting. I hope together we can give the year 6 children an enjoyable and supportive year.
As part of our Topic this half term ,which is on Africa, Daniel brought in some traditional Africa clothing. He looked very smart and noble. Thank you Daniel. well done also to the other children that spent time creating wonderful projects for both Topic and Science.
Class 6D took part in a parliamentary debate as part of our balanced argument topic. They used items that would be seen within the Houses of Parliament or Houses of Common and debated confidently but respectfully. A special well done to our Speaker of the House Ella Riley. Well Done!
Congratulations again to our Year 6 councillors. You did us proud at Liverpool School Parliament on the 2nd October.
The children have begun their Slavery Topic in year 6 and have taken a mature and respectful approach to discussions and issues discussed. Well done!
